Spiro Fire Department was honored to be recognized at the 2025 Oklahoma State Firefighters Association Convention for 100 years of service. I was lucky to talk former Chiefs Dustin McLemore, Doug Harper, Scherman Beale, and Assistant Chief Jimmy Smith to accept the award with me.

When you join the Spiro Fire Department, your name joins every past fireman in our Pension book that goes back over 100 years. I firmly believe what I told the retired chiefs during the trip, our fire department is where we are because of who came before us.
